Project Management & Scheduling
Your proposed project will demand creative, but realistic scheduling and resource management to ensure timely and efficient completion of your facility. Whether your project has a mixture of demolition, expansion to existing facilities, interior renovations, or ground up new construction, it will require pre-planning and clearly communicated schedules and phasing plans to maintain safety and time-line milestones. Eaton Commercial LP will implement the following methods to insure time, quality and safety are effectively implemented on any of your proposed sites:
Solicit, Interview and select the right qualified Subcontractors that will provide the required resources as planned and within budget.
For example: On the GMP negotiated Christian Academy of San Antonio, Eaton was able to attract and hire the right mix of Subcontractors, which lead to a successful quality built 73,000 SF school, on time and within budget.
Properly scheduling the work and then properly working to the schedule.
For example: Performing daily and weekly progress schedule meetings and updates with our key Subcontractors is essential to meeting the overall project master schedule. Incorporating man-hours into the monitoring process enables us to track performance and cite resource problems early before delays create schedule impacts. We enforce this communication process in the field and our most recent results has been on the timely completion of Huebner Professional Center phases I & II.
Regular bi-weekly meetings with the Design Team, City Officials and Trades.
For example: Scheduling communication and sequence of Design and Construction activities with the project team is paramount in maintaining agreed upon milestones as well as making minor adjustments or changes to the schedule when unforeseen events arise. Eaton Commercial LP provides in depth CPM schedules that not only incorporates the Preconstruction and Design timelines and key construction activities, it also includes the Owner’s move in activities for end user planning and communication. By doing so, all of the work trades, Owner and end User personnel are kept in the loop and the work flows efficiently and completes on time.
At the Design / Build Partial Demo Project for the Port Authority, this program worked very well as the project entailed redesign of mechanical, electrical and architectural renovations to an adjoining occupied space, prior to demolition of the 87,000 sf concrete structure. We worked closely with the Owner and our Design Team to develop sequences of operations and disconnects that addressed all issues from CPS, SAWS, Air Force, Flight Line, State and adjoining Tenant.
